While I respect the right to religious freedom, I have serious concerns that the messaging and curriculum promoted by this specific organization may not align with our district's core values of inclusivity, diversity, and creating a safe environment for all students.

Public reports and the organization's own public statements have raised alarm about their stance on issues of identity and differing beliefs, which many view as discriminatory. When a program operates within the school's sphere—even if it is an opt-in, off-campus program—it still reflects on our district and can have a significant impact on the school environment. The potential for such a program to promote non-inclusive views or cause some students to feel unsafe or unwelcome is a grave concern that I believe warrants your immediate attention.

Our public schools are a place where every child, regardless of their background or beliefs, should feel supported and respected. Allowing a group with a potentially exclusionary or discriminatory agenda to operate under the school's banner could undermine the very principles of tolerance and acceptance that our district aims to instill.

I respectfully request that the school board and district administration conduct a thorough review of the Lifewise program's curriculum and materials to ensure they are consistent with the district’s policies on non-discrimination and maintaining a welcoming school community for all.
